The multifaceted international agenda, including climate change, green economy and energy transition, requires high level of expertise and capacity from all actors involved. The side event will discuss how unbalances in capacity can be diminished and how States, Academia, Business and International organizations can assist Indigenous Peoples to build their capacity to become even more influential players in the COP summits and other international fora. Some examples of Indigenous-led programmes from UN, Russia and around the world will be discussed. The participants will elaborate on possible joint efforts and new ways of collaboration.
